seven 006.
Ive been away and thought for an hour before writing this.
I really think youve crossed the line man.
What you imply is gross.A disgusting implication.
"Consciousness of guilt" hypothesis is not evidence enough to imply such a thing.
How would you feel if I implied that about you?
Your first response would be to consider legal action.

LET'S MAKE A LITTLE WAGER
by You Know inperhaps you recall the instance in the bible where samson made a wager with the philistines that they couldnt guess his riddle.
as it turned out they wheedled the answer out of him by his fiancee, but the point is that they had a wager.
since the underlying assumption of the apostasy is that we are not living in the last days of this system of things, and that this world is not facing anything remotely like the biblical apocalypse, at least not any time soon, in the spirit of such antagonism, i would like to propose a similar wager.

"The day that changed the world"?

it gave opinions on developments since september 11th(alas there is no page to link to).
whether you have seen it or not: any views on this?

Well if the media keeps on saying "the world has changed....the world has changed".
And if we all keep parroting "the world has changed...the world has changed"
I guess we will all believe it soon enough.
Has this incident supposedly made us all CONSCIOUS of the fact that we are not "safe" from "terrorists"? That, therefore, in the interests of public safety, terrorists must be stamped out.
I do not believe we are any less safe than we have ever been.To clarify.
Do I think Terrorists should be allowed to kill thousands of innocent people? Certainly not.
I think Osama has allowed George Junior an opportunity to show what a big strong man he is. -

Troll.
"The World will never be the same"?
Thats just parroting some maudlin mouthing made by George Bush junior.
The world feels the same from where Im sittin.
When are the Americans going to take down the Irish Republican Army?
Thats what I want to know.As of right now the war on terrorism is very selective. Its almost a war on Islam, if it goes anywhere big, thats where it will go, the Americans can then bomb Islam back into the stone age...but theyre already there. -

You know. You are the toughest son of a bitch I ever saw.
I would have had a mental breakdown after about 3 pages of this thread if I were you.
More power to you.
Oh...by the way...I only just read your opening post in this thread 2 minutes ago and immediately thought "He wont pay up,he'll insist it happened."
I was right. -

Wouldn't you be 'mad' too?!
by ozziepost inin their own words:.
"they had preached that in an early time god would overthrow "christendom".
many had emphasized the year 1925 as the date, and then when that date did not materialize the date was moved up to 1932. again, 1932 came and "christendom" was not destroyed, and now it was discovered that "christendom" would be spared for a little while longer for the sake of the jonadab class, and this made the proud "elective elder" crowd very mad.

If you are interested in personal stories, I might recommend the personals page off "all forums". Lots of LONG stories in there.
For my own part I left the Witness org because my "reality" clashes with their supposed "reality". I felt that things werent really like they said they were.
A lot of ex dubs I know got tired of feeling like debased, guilty, unworthy people in an organization that constantly reminded us that it was a utopia, where everyone was blissfully happy. -

Hello, I'm new here
by daveyJones ini've been raised a witness, and i've been spoon-fed.
all that stuff about 1914, no facial hair, and every other jw teaching that they talk about.
i've been a bit disillusioned lately with the stuff i've found out about the society, with some research of my own and other research from sites or sources like these.
